Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Schott

July 13, 1930 — October 23, 2024

Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Schilling Schott, 94 of Lowell, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Waterview Point. She was born July 13, 1930, to the late Leo and Anna Lang Schilling in Marietta OH. Betty married Charles L. Schott, June 10, 1953 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marietta.

She was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church in Harriettsville and the Catholic Women's Club. Betty retired from Lower Salem Commercial Bank after 40 years of service and volunteered at Marietta Memorial Hospital for many years.

She is survived by sons: Daniel (Cindy) Schott, Donnie (Linda) Schott, Dale Schott;  daughters: Debbie (Dave) Biehl, Diane (Chris) Erb, Denise (Mike) Gerber; daughter in law, Jane Schott; sisters in law: Mabel, Wanda and Dee Schott; brother in law, Dean Schott; grandchildren: Jake (Samantha) Erb, Hannah (Tom) Thomas, Justin Erb, Ben (Ashlee) Erb, Josh (Jessica) Biehl, Jennifer (Doug) Seaman, Doug Schott, Curtis Schott, Melissa (Zach) Bazell, Christa (Josh) Adams, Derrick (Rachel) Schott, Dustin (Carla Lee), Whitney (Eric) Hoon, Cory (Brookanne) Gerber, Ashley (Walker) Siers, Chelsey Schott, and Leanna (Zane)Severt; great grandchildren: Alayna and Alyssa Biehl, Brayden and Brycen Moore, Jozie and Jackson Biehl, Jordan and Adalyn Seaman, Savvy (Andy) Crane, Lily Erb, Brantley, Brody and Brinlee Erb, Lynley and Elsie Thomas, Dalton and Dane Schott, Delaney Schott, Carter and Lidia Bazell, Ally Adams, Gabby and Gunner Hoon, Henry and Charlee Gerber, and Ryker Severt; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by husband; brother, Gary Schilling; son, David Schott; and grandson, Adam Biehl.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024, at The Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, with The Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell celebrating. Burial will follow at Salem Township Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at THE MARIETTA CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOME, with a Vigil Service held at 7 p.m.
