Elizabeth Jane Dunn

Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Dunn, 75, Riverside Lane, Marietta, died 2:30 am Saturday, October 9, 2010, at her home. Born October 16, 1934, in Erie, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lucille E. Bauschard Borden. Betty received her Bachelor of Arts from Hood College, in 1956. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, in Marietta. She was an avid golfer. Betty also enjoyed reading, playing bridge, and quilting, She contributed to the design and quilting on the bi-centennial quilt and for many years participated in the Christmas Bird Count. She is survived by her husband, Jerome "Jerry" Dunn, whom she married October 25, 1985. Also surviving are a daughter, Kathy Morris (Jerry), of Ringold, GA; two sons, Delbert Beard of Charleston, WV and Robert Beard (Sarah) of Marietta; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a sister, Nancy Borden Hoy (James) of Marietta. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 14, 2010, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
