Flint Allen Chutes, 56, of Marietta, died Sunday, November 20, 2016, at his home. He was born August 3, 1960 in Marietta to William A. and Patricia A. Ritchie Chutes. He received his G.E. D. from Marietta High School. Flint was a member of the Army National Guard. He had been employed for 30 years at Profusion Industries. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, biking and carpentry work. Flint is survived by his mother, Patricia Chutes Dye, of Marietta, brothers, William Chutes, Jr. and Mark Chutes of Marietta, a sister, Crystal Chutes, of Belpre, his life partner, Nora Christian, and many nieces and nephews, including Mason Chutes. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Page officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00. Burial, with military honors, will be at Gravel Bank Cemetery.
