Francis Maxine Starlin, 64, of Lowell, died Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born June 3, 1949 in Marietta to Okey and Nettie Seeley Slack. She was a member of the Lowell Christian Church. She loved her grandchildren, collecting and making craft items, NASCAR and football. She is survived by her husband, Howard "Big Jimmy" Starlin, three daughters, Beth Wilson (Donnie), Delma "Gidget" Farmer, and Lola Sampson (Dan), a son, Howard "Bimmie" Starlin, Jr. (Teresa Bennett), all of Lowell, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three sisters, Edna Schau (Roger) of Lowell, Kathy Maine and Merna Davis (Carl), both of Marietta. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Tommy Jean Grayson and Sidney Carpenter, and two brothers, Okey, Jr. and Frank Slack. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2013, at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Rob Tuttle officiating. Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
