Frances Caroline Thieman

Frances Caroline Thieman, 93 of Lowell, passed away Sunday March 29, 2020 at Apple Tree Assisted Living in Barlow, Ohio.

Frances was born March 7, 1927, the youngest daughter of Frank and Anna Full Schaad. She attended Rainbow School and she retired from Mahoney's IGA in Lowell. She was a devout catholic and a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Lowell where she was a life time member of the Catholic Woman's Club and served as a past president of the CWC.

She was gifted with many talents. She loved to crochet, sew, quilt and work with stained glass. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother and she cared deeply for her family. She enjoyed family gatherings and loved to cook and she always kept everyone supplied with food from her garden.

She is survived by her three daughters Bernadette Kern (Regis), Connie Schwendeman (Joe), Christine Weppler (Lynn), and son Alan Thieman (Wendy) all of Marietta. Grandchildren included Nichols Kern (Donna), Cortney Clark (Ryan), Jeremy Schwendeman (Jessica), Corey Schwendeman (Erica), Abby Masucci (Mario), Andrea Nichols (Bryan), Jason Weppler (Abby), Joshua Thieman and Allyson Thieman also 11 great- grandchildren Jack, Olivia, Alec, Connor, Lucas, Mason, Jaelynn, Addison, Avery, Brayden, and Grayson and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Earl Thieman who she married on December 29, 1948. A brother, Lawrence Schaad, sisters, Katherine Schilling, Marie Lang, Gertrude Arnold, and Beatrice Wesselman.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers for the wonderful care she received at Apple Tree Assisted Living and Stonerise Hospice.

Abiding with government recommendations for social distancing during the COVID-19 Pandemic, a private family viewing will be held April 1, 2020 at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. A burial service will be at the Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery with Rev. David Gaydosik officiating. There will be no visitation or greeting of friends and extended family at this time. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time.
