Frank Lloyd Stacy, 83, of 330 East St., Lowell, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at his home. He was born in Marietta on February 18, 1926 to Lloyd Snyder and Lena Doak Stacy. He had lived his entire life in the Lowell area. Frank was a 1943 graduate of Lowell High School and had attended the Ohio State University, remaining a faithful Buckeye fan his entire life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving from January 1945 to November 1946 as a Staff Sargent in the Philippines and Japan. Frank was very active in many community organizations, including serving with the L-A Fire & Rescue for over 57 years; being a member of the Lowell Masonic Lodge #436 for 62 years; Lowell OES for 60 years; Lowell American Legion Post #750 for 61 years; serving on the Washington County Historical Society, Washington County Farm Bureau, and the Farm Bureau Council. Frank was a member of the Marietta Sixth & Washington Streets Church of Christ, where he served as deacon for many years. He had served on the Fort Frye Board of Education for 14 years, and had served on the 4-H Camp Hervida Advisory Board. Frank retired in 1989 from Chevron Chemical, where he was a Safety Supervisor. In addition to all of the above activities, he was a longtime dairy, beef and vegetable farmer and in recent years enjoyed gardening and caring for his large lawn. He also was an avid reader, and especially enjoyed history. Frank is survived by his wife, Marjorie Lucile Richey, they were married on June 26, 1949 and recently celebrated their 60th anniversary. He is also survived by their children, Mike (Barb) Stacy of Wadsworth, Alan Stacy of Cuyahoga Falls, Kathy (Tom) Gallagher of Lighthouse Point, FL and Mark (Robin) Stacy of Wadsworth; his grandchildren Jennifer (Scott) Walker of Cape Coral, FL and Nicholas and Alex Stacy of Wadsworth, his new great grandchild, Kamryn Walker, of Cape Coral, FL.; sister in law, Pat Gimmisson, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Virginia Stacy and Jean DeLong, and grandson, Mitchell Stacy. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2010, at the Sixth & Washington Streets Church of Christ, with Roger Rush officiating. His burial, with full military honors, will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, with Randy Baker officiating. Friends may call at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Saturday, anytime after 2 p.m., where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Sunday. There will be Eastern Star and Masonic services at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday following visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to the L-A Fire & Rescue, P.O.
