Freda May Collins

Freda May Collins, 76, of Marietta, died Monday, December 28, 2009 at Selby General Hospital. She was born December 29, 1932 in Eldarado, IL to Robert and Fara Dillard McKnight. She was a member of Eastern Star, West Union Chapter #56 and the O'Neill Senior Center. She was a Christian by faith and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Riggs (Dallas) of New Matamoras, Cathy Blake (Ernie) of West Union, WV, Fara Ball (Robert) of Lowell, son, Tom Collins (Anita) of Lowell, 23 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and a brother, Dennis Farris of Flora, IL. Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Collins on May 7, 1988, two sisters, Wanda Hall and Roberta Vaughn and one brother, Robert W. McKnight. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. Friends may call on Thursday from 9 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Donations to offset expenses to Cawley & Peoples, P.O. Box 400, Lowell, OH 45744.
