Gatha Davis, 74, of Cutler, OH, died Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 3, 1942 in Crab Orchard, TN. Gatha graduated from Medina High School. She had lived in Litchfield, OH growing up, and then moved to Medina. Gatha married Billy H. Davis on August 9, 1958. She loved doing ceramics, traveling and flower gardening. Gatha was a loving housewife and mother, and also worked at Stone & Thomas and Warren Local Schools. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Pierson of Cutler, two grandchildren, Samantha & Olivia Pierson, two sisters, Anna Burke (George) and Sue Anielski (Ray), both of Grafton, OH, one brother, Joseph Crabtree of Elyria, OH, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy H. Davis on July 28, 2015, father, Roy Phillip Crabtree, mother, Ola Newberry Crabtree Raines, and step-father, Fred Raines. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor David Dye officiating. Entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and for two hours prior to services on Wednesday.
