Geno Anthony DeMaio, 25, of Marietta, Ohio, died Saturday, July 20, 2019 in Boynton Beach, Florida. He was born on January 5, 1994 in Springfield, MA, to Donald Robert and Patricia Irene Mayer DeMaio.
Geno was a 2012 graduate of Marietta High School. He was working various jobs in the Boynton Beach area. He enjoyed all types of outdoor activities including fishing, hunting and various sports. Geno especially loved spending time with the love of his life, his son, Landon, doing all those fun father-son activities.
He is survived by his parents of Marietta; son, Landon Anthony DeMaio; Landon's mother, Sierra Grimm and her family and friends; loving brothers, John DeMaio (Kathy Schwendeman) of Marietta and Brandon DeMaio stationed in Germany in the Air Force; niece, Marisa Echols; special grandmother, Marty Paquette; great uncle, Bob Baribeau (Carol); aunts and uncles, John Mayer (Roberta), Suzanne Carver, Mary, Joan and Kathy Mayer, Denise Conroy, Robert DeMaio (Annette) and Anna Laverty; and many cousins, extended family and close friends.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019 at The Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, with The Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell celebrating. Burial will follow in New St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with a Vigil Service held at 3:00 p.m.
