Glen William Sprague, 87, of Vincent, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at The Arbors. He was born December 25, 1925 in Belpre to Harry S. and Bessie Vickers Sprague. He was a 1943 graduate of Barlow Rural High School. Glen was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired from Union Carbide. He then drove bus for Warren Local Schools. Glen had been active on the Barlow Fair Board, in Boy Scouts, the Lions Club, had served on the Barlow Fire Department for 40 years, and served as a Barlow Township Trustee. He had raised Herefords and Limousin cattle on the Whispering Willows Farm. Glen had been married for almost 70 years to Donna Rae Bond Sprague, who survives along with daughter, Patricia Alexander, two sons, Stevan and Timothy Sprague (Billie), grandchildren, Kristi and David Hammond, Catie and Cris Sprague, and great grandson, Declan Hammond. He was preceded in death by three sons, Michael, Daniel, and Randall, brothers, Harold and Max, and sister, Agnes Bradley. Funeral services, with full military rites will be held at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013, with the Rev. David Hubbard officiating..
