Glenn Shumar

Kenneth "Glenn" Shumar, 55, son of Pat and Jerry Reynolds and the late George Shumar, was called home on June 23, 2016. Glenn was born on January 1, 1961 in Marietta, Ohio. He was the first baby born that year in Washington County. He resided in Bartlett with his mother and stepfather. Glenn attended Friendship/Ewing School, then WASCO Workshop. Glenn enjoyed spending his time with family, playing cards, watching OSU, the Reds and the Bengals play, and NASCAR racing. Glenn is survived by mother and stepfather, of the home; two sisters, Dallas Sullivan, of Newport and Jolie Clark (Sam) of Lower Salem; one brother, Allan Shumar (Pam) of Cincinnati; nieces, Amanda Satterfield (Kurt) and Ryan Ebra of Marietta; nephews, Greg Sullivan of Dayton, Tyler Ebra, Karter Satterfield, Preston and Daymeon Gulley, Trevor Ebra and Alexander Marshall, all of Marietta; several cousins,one aunt, Joanne Martin, and his girl, Sherry Eichhorn Shelbaer. He is preceded in death by his brother, Ralph, father, George, and his favorite uncle, Tony "Pal" Martin. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rev. Linda Steelman officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Bank Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Donations may be made to WASCO, 340 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, OH 45750.
