Grace Murdayne Harrison

Grace Murdayne Harrison, 87, formerly of Williamstown, died Tuesday July 18, 2017 in Marietta, Ohio. She was born October 1, 1929 in Grantsville, WV to the late Harley and Ada Jarvis Lynch.
As a young woman, Grace received her nurse's training at St. Joseph School of Nursing in Parkersburg before working at the Cleveland Clinic as a registered nurse. She moved on to work at BF Goodrich in Marietta for nearly 30 years as a plant nurse before completing her career at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was a longtime resident of Williamstown and a proud West Virginia Mountaineer. She will be fondly remembered for her sharp wit, impeccable fashion, and compassionate heart.
Grace is survived by three sons: David Harrison of Williamstown, Daniel (Gillian Abbott) Harrison of Marietta, Jim Harrison of Parkersburg, four grandchildren; Shane Harrison of Chicago, IL, Nathan Harrison of Williamstown, Lucas Harrison, a student at Wright State Medical College, Caitlin, a student at Ohio University, one great-grandson, Raven Harrison of Athens, one great-great grandson, Dren Harrison, three brothers: Harley Jr. (Helen) of Parkersburg, Donald of Beavercreek, OH, Denver of Parkersburg, one sister, Jean of Parkersburg.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth B. Harrison, parents and step-mother, Ullainee Lynch, one brother Delbert and one sister Leanna.
Services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home with The Rev. Kathryn Hawbaker officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday from 5-7pm.
