Guy Gene Mullen

Guy Gene Mullen, 81 of Marietta, Ohio peacefully went to Heaven on October 14, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born on November 5, 1942, in the family home in Washington County, Ohio.

He was a graduate of Marietta High School in 1960. Gene enjoyed spending time with his family.  Gene worked for Archer Auto Parts, and two of his own businesses; most recently Mullen Security Company, until his retirement. He was a husband, father, grandfather great- grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  He enjoyed watching all his grandchildren's events, an avid fan of the Buckeyes, collecting OSU memorabilia, camping, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a sports supporter for Marietta High School and Marietta College for many years.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Mullen, Tim (Laurie) Mullen; daughters, Martha (Mick) Davis, Karen (Randy) White; grandchildren, Samantha (Ben) Wyco, Erik White, Ali (Tyler) Stewart, Cole Davis, Lexie Mullen, Payton Mullen; great-granddaughter, Ellaianna Wyco; sister, Donna Moseley; and many nieces and nephews.

Gene was preceded in death of his infant daughter; his wife of 61 years, Ann Archer Mullen; mother, Alta Mullen; father, Bryson Mullen; brother, Harold Mullen; and brother-in-law, Robert Mosely.

Gene was a member of The Basilica of St. Mary’s of Assumption in Marietta.  Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Lang’s Campground.
