Harold Leroy Barrows

Harold L. "Butch" Barrows, 75, of Marietta, Ohio, died Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 31, 1944, in Marietta, to Charles and Edna Waller Barrows.

Butch was an overhead crane operator for Youngstown Sheet & Tube in East Chicago, a crane operator for Dravo, and then worked and retired from AMP Ohio. He loved his family, was always there when his children and grandchildren needed cared for, and was extremely proud of them. Butch enjoyed working with his tools, woodworking, computer programming, electronic gadgets and working around the house. He was a member of The Knights of Columbus and St. Mary Catholic Church earlier in life.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, JoDora Mooney Barrows; three children, Scott Barrows (Melissa), Jacqueline Drake (Greg) and Chris Barrows (Amanda); daughter in law, Brenda Barrows; 11 grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and brother Dave Barrows (Mary).

He was preceded in death by his son, Clark Barrows.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
