Hazel R. Carpenter, 80, of Marietta, OH, died Thursday, February 7, 2019. She was born on November 8, 1938 in New Philadelphia, OH, to Isaac and Nellie Taylor Morrison.
Hazel enjoyed gardening, arranging flowers, cooking, camping and flea marketing.
She is survived by children, Rex (Sherry), James (Melinda), Tammy Carpenter (Samuel Hasting) and Sharon Harmon (Danny); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry "Carp"; son, Joseph; daughter, Mary "Edie" Carpenter; grandson, Nicholas Harmon; brother; and 7 sisters.
Graveside services, 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Salem Township Cemetery, Lower Salem. Visitation, 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples.
