Hazel E. Cameron Pugh, 91, of Lowell passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness.
She was born on May 20, 1928, in St. Mary's, West Virginia, to the late George and Olive Wilson Cameron. She married Roy Cecil Pugh, Sr. on October 6, 1944.
Hazel loved spending time with family, playing cards, rose gardening, and a good cup of black coffee.
She is survived by her son Roy Cecil Pugh, Jr. (Lula) of Marietta, Ohio; daughter-in-law Ruth Pugh of Marietta, Ohio; son-in-law Kenny Huck of Lowell, Ohio; grandchildren Sheri Thrasher (Kevin) of Marietta, Ohio, Jerry Beardmore Jr. (Donna) of Katy, Texas, Jo-el Meyer (Doug) of Stafford, Virginia, Shelly Arnold (Brian) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Elizabeth Curry (Rex) of Waterford, Ohio, Heather Root (Anthony) of Waterford, Ohio, Robert Pugh II (Margie) of Marietta, Ohio; Amy Rodriguez (Adrian) of Loveland, Colorado, Katie Huck of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and April Lawyer (Gary) of Marietta, Ohio; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, nine siblings, husband, son Robert Pugh, daughter Betty Beardmore, son-in-law Jerry Beardmore, and daughter Patricia "Pat" Huck.
Viewing and services will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home with Pastor James Dickey officiating. Viewing hours will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and service at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Waterford Cemetery.
