Howard L. "Pap" Danielson, 74, of Manchester Drive, Marietta, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at his home. He was born March 10, 1938 in Marietta to Howard and Mary Huck Danielson. He was a graduate of St. Mary's Catholic School. Howard had retired from Amoco and loved playing and coaching softball. He is survived by a son, Michael Danielson (Amy) of Marietta, daughter, Kim King (Chuck) of Bartlett, nine grandchildren, Jason Giffin (Casey), Josh Giffin (Wendy), Amanda and Danielle Danielson, Shaina and Jaron Leach, Eric King, Suzzie Sims (Jeremy) and Jessie King (Jenna), six great grandchildren, Landon, Claire, Connor and Caden Giffin, Nola King and Scarlett Sims, a sister, Laura Allen, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta "Bobbie" Henry Danielson on February 13, 2001, also by a brother, Bob Poynter. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park.
