Jack Fox, 85, of Marietta, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011. He was born April 19, 1926 in Ironton, Ohio to Charles L. and Ethel Lambert Fox. Jack was a 1944 graduate of Ironton High School. He had worked at Roach Sohio Service Station for 28 years, then retired from Asphalt Materials in 1989, following 17 years of employment. Jack is survived by his wife, Georgia Ann Dow Fox, they were married on March 4, 1951; two daughters, Deborah Gains (Charles) and Patsy Schaad (Mike), all of Marietta, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, a sister, Alice Fisher, of Lexington, KY and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, James M. Fox, a daughter, Jackie Sue Arnold, and two brothers Otto L. and Stanley L. Fox. Funeral services will be held at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2011, with the Rev. Linda Steelman officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park.
