James Monroe Dailey, 75, of Marietta, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born May 7, 1937 in Marietta to Donald L. and Ada Marie Barth Dailey. James has worked at WASCO and was well known throughout the community. He is survived by a niece, Bonnie Dailey (Jeff Eddy) of Marietta, three nephews, Bob (Marlene) Dailey of New Castle, IN, Randy Dailey (Bev McFadden) of Waterford and Michael (Ashley) Dailey of Caldwell, four great nephews, three great nieces and one great great nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Donna Dailey and a brother, Larry Dailey. The family would like to thank Havar, Inc. and the Washington County Board of Developmental Disabilities. A special thanks to Carol McKitrick and her family for all their loving care, and for always watching over him. There will be a memorial service held on Monday, January 21, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with visitation for one hour prior. It is requested that donations be made in his memory to a charity of choice.
