James F. Hearns, 70, of Nolan Circle, Marietta, died Sunday, January 16, 2011, at his residence. He was born December 17, 1940 in Cleveland to Joseph and Agnes (Secunde) Hearns. He was a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College in Berea. He served in the U.S. Army. Jim had been an engineer, retiring from River Gas Company, following 40 years of employment. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He enjoyed sports and working puzzles. Jim is survived by two daughters, Laura Davies (David) of Cleveland and Cassandra Fournier (Todd) of Marietta, a son, James Hearns (Debra) of Reynoldsburg, nine grandchildren, Erica (Matt), Paul (Jennifer), Michael, Brian, Maggie, Morgan, Sean, Gabriel and Joshua, three great grandchildren, Nykolas, Colton and Alexis, a brother, Thomas of Akron and a sister, Kathleen Fry (Jerry) of Barberton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Jean Kemock Hearns and a daughter, Kimberly Ann. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Christopher Foxhaven as celebrant. Friends may call at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and for two hours prior to services on Friday. There will be a Vigil Service held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will be in New St. Mary's Cemetery.
