James Leroy Keenan

December 5, 1944 — April 6, 2009

James Leroy Keenan, 64, formerly of Washington, PA, died Monday, April 6, 2009, at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, OH. He was born December 5, 1944 in Washington to Lloyd Luther and Harriett Nora Ritter Keenan. He was a U.S. Army veteran, being discharged in October, 1968. He was a retired ironworker, having worked through Local Union #3 in Pittsburgh. Jim loved eating pizza and watching the Steelers. He is survived by his son, David Keenan (Kim) of Houston, PA, his daughter, Wendy Myers (Todd) of Marietta, four grandchildren, Tyler Keenan, Maddie, Anna-Claire and Isabelle Myers, and twelve siblings, Lloyd Keenan, Virginia "Sis" Kearns, Ruby Keeney, Mary Berdine, Shirley Stazko, Larry, Jerry, Charles "Chuck", John and Kenny Keenan, Linda Pescho and Danny Keenan. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and Donald Keenan. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2009, at the First United Presbyterian Church, 102 North Main St., Houston, PA. Donations are suggested to the Fountain Foundation, 509 Tupper St., Marietta, OH 45750, this is a non profit organization set up to improve the lives of children. Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, Marietta, Ohio is assisting Jim's family with his cremation.
