Jane Ann Rauch, 84, of Lowell, Ohio, died Friday, October 11, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cambridge, Ohio on November 5, 1934 to Seth and Jean Carolina Young Woodford.
Jane Ann was a graduate of Lowell High School and attended Ohio University. She married Howard Andrew Rauch on June 29, 1954 at St. John's in Churchtown. After raising three boys, she became the librarian of Lowell Elementary School for 25 years, retiring in 1994. Jane Ann was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, the Catholic Women's Club and religion class teacher at the church for 30 years. She was also a member of the L-A Fire & Rescue Ladies Auxiliary, was a Docent at Campus Martius Museum for 20 years and attended Marietta College Learning in Retirement classes for many years.
She is survived by three sons, Stephen (Robin) of Pickerington, Ohio, David (Cathy) of Lowell, and Christopher (Donna) of Greenville, SC; 11 grandchildren, Andrew, Kyle, Megan, Nina, Matthew, David, Harrison, Sarah, Katie, Laura and Marie; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Roger Woodford and Sarah Chichester, both of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Howard Andrew Rauch, who died on May 1, 2017.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, with The Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell and The Rev. David Gaydosik con-celebrating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. There will be a Vigil service held at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday.
