Jessica B. Taylor, 85, of Marietta, formerly of Lowell, died June 8, 2012, in Parkersburg, WV. Jessica was born in Spencer, WV to Roy and Ruby (McKown) Brannan on October 21, 1926. She graduated from high school in Lowell, Ohio in 1944. During WWII, she worked at the Sylvania War Plant, then worked in the food industry until she retired, and started daycare for her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Ruby Sayre (James Farley) of Marietta, Jo Raney (Jerry) of Smyrna, GA; grandchildren, Rick Sayre, Jessica Raney, Ray Raney(Dawn), John Sayre(Rebecca Pyles); great grandchildren, Josh Sayre Knotts, Erica Sayre, Catherine Sayre, Jason Raney, Katelyn Raney; four sisters, Ann Best, Marie Doneff, Bert Schultheis (Lyle), Sue Michalis, and one brother Albert Brannan (Bonnie). She was preceded by her parents, her fianc of 35 years, Donald L. Baker, three sisters, Evelyn, Hazel, and Mildred, two brothers, Jack and Roy Jr., and a son-in-law Richard Sayre. Per her wishes, she has been cremated and there will be no visitation or services. Please make donations to L-A Fire & Rescue, or your favorite charity. Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
