Joan Hayes Allender

Joan Hayes Allender, 84, of Marietta, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg. She was born February 14, 1930 in Vincent to Lewis and Juanita Dunsmoor Hayes. Joan had worked at Remington Rand and Harts Family Center. She had attended The Basilic of St. Mary of the Assumption and was an avid gardener, enjoyed walking, and loved cats. She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Cheryl Riedel (Phillip) of Baltimore, MD and Diane Lane of Marietta; two granddaughters, Chelsea and Patricia, and a great grandson, who was born March 11, 2014. She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Hayes. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Barlow Central Cemetery.
