Joan Wagner Young, 91,died February 25, 2014 in Brandon, FL. Born December 12, 1922 in Marietta, OH, twin sister of Jewel W. Burdette. Parents were Herman W. and Kathryn Rice Wagner. She was married to Charles H. Young for 54 years, and he died in 2000. Joan was a registered nurse, graduating with her twin in 1944. Mother of four children, Mark K. Young of Mahwah, NJ, Melissa K. Young of Riverview, FL, Daniel Reed Young of Mahwah, NJ and Scott E. Young of London England. Also surviving are brothers Earl W. Wagner of Lowell, James W. Wagner of Cincinnati and Paul F. Wagner of Marietta. Our precious and special Mom, you were an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and nurse to so many. Thank you for your laughter, kindness, and special love you gave to all of us. You weren't just our fantastic mom, but, our best friend, too. You made so many people happy with your beautiful piano playing at nursing homes and you never met a stranger. Mom, we love you and miss you more than words can ever express. You and Dad will always be our guiding lights and angels in heaven. Our lives will never be the same without you. There will be a memorial service held at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. The family will greet friends from noon up until time of service. Burial of her ashes will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Lowell.
