John Blazosky

John Blazosky, 86, of Marietta, Ohio, died Sunday, July 3, 2016, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on December 30, 1929 in Phillipsburg, PA to Peter and Anna Ritz Blazosky. John graduated from Phillipsburg High School. He was in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict, in photo intelligence at the Pentagon. John had owned John Jay Photography for a few years, while working at the power projects in Niagara Falls. He then worked at Remington Rand for 18 years as a Production Superintendant, which brought he and his family to Marietta. John loved to golf. He was a member of the Golf Club of West Virginia, where he was the founder of and president of the Senior Men's League. John was also a member of the American Legion, Post 64. He is survived by his wife, Marie Aurigema Blazosky, whom he married on April 24, 1954, daughter, Rosanne Buell (Mike) of Marietta, son, Joseph Blazosky (Kelly) of Barneveld, NY, six grandchildren, Jacob Blazosky (Elizabeth), Vincent Blazosky, Derek Buell (Brittany), Aaron Buell, Jenna Knatt (Kevin), Randi Jo Blazosky, and Marcie and Matthew Dyar, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, John N. Blazosky, four brothers and four sisters. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rev. Linda Steelman officiating. Full military honors will be observed as well. Visitation will be for one hour prior to services on Saturday.
