John Anthony Burge

June 2, 1959 — February 28, 2017

John Anthony "Tony" Burge of Marietta, Ohio peacefully surrounded by his family, went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2017. He was born June 2, 1959 to Benny F. and Clara R. Freeland Burge. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Becky Burge, his mother, Clara R. Freeland Burge, his daughter, Johnna Burge Aaron (Brannon), his son, John Anthony Burge II, his sisters, Jewel Waters (Gale), Judi Burge, aunt, Martha Freeland Swisher (Melvin), three grandsons, Samuel B. Wells, Caleb W. and Andre E.L. Aaron, one granddaughter, Aliceah M. Aaron and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Benny F. Burge, his mother in law, Mae M. Humphrey, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Barlow United Methodist Church. Pastor Debra Proctor will officiate. Friends may call for one hour prior to services at the church. Donations may be made to the church at P.O. Box 3, Barlow, OH 45712.
