John Alexander Fraser

September 17, 1943 — August 23, 2013

John Alexander Fraser, 69, of Marietta, died Friday, August 23, 2013, at The Ohio State University Hospital. He was born September 17, 1943 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania to John A. "Jack" and Rhea Riddle Fraser. John had received his Bachelors degree in Mathematics from Marshall University and his Masters degree in Special Education from West Virginia University. He had worked for Kentucky Educational Television, writing math programs and had managed group homes for adults with developmental disabilities for Champaign Residential Services. He is survived by his sister, Chris Unroe (Larry) of Marietta, nephew, Mark Unroe (Kathleen) of Indianapolis, IN, great nieces, Kate, Lucy, and Eve Unroe all of Indianapolis, cousins, Janet Childs (Harry) of Chicago, IL, Jim Duff (Karen) of Ft. Myers, FL, Heather Boyd (Bob) of Pittsburgh, PA and Kerry Courtice of Portland, ME. Abiding with his wishes, he was cremated, and there will be private graveside services for John at Putnam Cemetery in Devola, at a later date.
