John Thomas Hutchinson

John Thomas Hutchinson, 73, of Lowell, died Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born February 17, 1938 in Ritchie County, WV to Roy C. and Margaret Lamp Hutchinson. He was a heavy equipment operator, working through Local #18 of the Ohio Operating Engineers. John was a member of Masonic Lodge # 308, Macksburg and Moose Lodge #1823, Marietta. He enjoyed every minute spent with his family. John is survived by his wife, Janet Oney Hutchinson, they were married on June 5, 1958, two sons, Bill (Cindy) and Nick (Molly), all of Marietta, a daughter, Kathy Delancy of Caldwell, ID, five grandchildren, Misty Ash (Logan), Jon Hutchinson (Missy), Kristy Oty (Josh), Billie Delancy and Krisha Hutchinson, three great grandchildren, Sophia and Carter Hutchinson and Addison Ash, two sisters, Marie Showalter of Parkersburg, WV and Linda Steele (Dan Yoke) of Williamstown, WV, and three brothers, Clyde (Sherry) of Ripley, WV, Bill (Auldine) of Parkersburg, and Dave (Robin) of Whipple. He was preceded in death by four sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2011, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Roger Rush officiating. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Rainbow Cemetery near Lowell.
