John Norton Blazosky, 58, of Marietta, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Cleveland Clinic. He was born February 2, 1956 in North Tonawanda, NY to John and Marie Aurigema Blazosky. He was a 1974 graduate of Marietta High School and had served in the U.S. Air Force. He had been employed by Rose Chemical and later with J & M Electrical in Cambridge. John was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption and American Legion Post #64. He loved boating, fishing, golfing, and other outdoor activities. John is survived by his parents of Marietta; two sons, Vincent, of Utica, NY and Jacob (Elizabeth) of Washington, WV, and their mother, Cathy Griffith Blazosky of Rosiclare, IL, brother, Joe (Kelly) of Barneveld, NY, sister, Rosanne (Mike) Buell of Marietta, three grandchildren, Maddison Blazosky, Carleigh and Jakob LeMasters, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Nelson officiating. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Putnam Cemetery, with full military honors.
