Joseph Thomas Marshall, Jr., 73, of Lowell died Thursday, September 8, 2011, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born October 1, 1937 in St. Marys, WV to Joseph Thomas and Ruth Bills Marshall, Sr. He was a 1955 graduate of St. Marys High School. Joe had worked at Dravo and was a member of Local #168, Plumbers and Pipefitters, retiring in 1999 from the union. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Marietta, Lowell Masonic Lodge #436, Scottish Rite,Valley of Cambridge, Eastern Star, American Union, Marietta Chapter #1, R&AM, Marietta Council #78, R&SM, Marietta Commandry #50, KT, and the Lowell Fire Department. Joe is survived by his wife, Shelby Davis Marshall, they were married on December 23, 1955, also by two sons, Joseph Marshall III of Fairmont, WV, and David Marshall of Lowell, granddaughter, Drew Marshall of Parkersburg, WV great grandson, Kavant, of Lowell, sister, Ellen Anderson of Parkersburg, brother, James Marshall (Mary) of Devola and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2011, at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Ruppe officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn
