Joyce Maxine Green, 80, of Marietta, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at her residence. She was born January 27, 1937 in Rock Hill, SC to Ephraim and Fannie Harris George. Joyce was a 1955 graduate of Rock High High School in SC. She is survived by her four children, Hal Green (Jill) of Phoenix, AZ, Shelley Pottenger of Parkersburg, WV, Edwin Brian Green (Elizabeth) of Marietta and Frederick Dane Green of Cleveland; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two sisters, Dianne Petrini (Bart) of California and Geneva Gunton of South Carolina. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin Eugene Green; and siblings, Helen Beck, Frances Wade, Hayward Cantey, Alberta Ferrell and Thelma Hendrix. Joyce chose to have her body donated to the Cleveland Clinic Body Donation Program for medical research and training. The Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home is assisting her family in following her wishes.
