Judith Ann Pannier

December 23, 1933 — March 14, 2016

Judith Ann (Wilber) Pannier, 82, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away March 14 , 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Judy is survived by her husband Charles (Chuck) Pannier and their children Rob(Lori), Pete (Laura), Polly (Howard) Stephens, Pamela(Tim) Lietz, and Penny Beckwith. Chuck and Judy are also the proud grandparents of Andy and Emily Pannier, Sarah Stephens, Xander and Lucinda Lietz and Thomas Beckwith. Chuck's brother Richard and his wife, Elizabeth, also survive. Judy was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Jane Wilber Derr.
Judy was born on December 23, 1933, in New Kensington, PA to Kathryn (Fitzgerald) and Albert Bennett (AB) Wilber. She graduated from Allegheny College where she pledged Alpha Chi Omega. Judy and Chuck married on October 1, 1954. She loved her work at the Marietta College Library, in Special Collections. Judy had many and varied interests. Chuck and Judy enjoyed traveling, especially to Bermuda. She enjoyed cross stitch, tennis and loved her bridge club. WOW, was Judy a walker! She could always be seen walking downtown. Judy's volunteer activities included the Welfare League, Meals on Wheels and the Community Food Pantry. Services will be held at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, on Friday, March 18 ,2016 at 1:00 p.m. Family will receive visitors for two hours prior to services. Burial of her ashes will take place at a later time in Oak Grove Cemetery. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels.
