Julie Ann Moat, 51, of Fleming, died Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born January 25, 1961 in Parkersburg, WV to Clinton and Barbara Dunn Dotson. She was a graduate of Williamstown High School. She had worked as an operator at ORION Engineered Carbons, and was a member of the Steelworkers Union. Julie loved farming, the Steelers, NASCAR, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She had attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Julie is survived by her longtime companion, Dave Pottmeyer, of Fleming, her children, Robert Moat (Alicia) of Marietta, Thomas Moat (Jessica) of Vienna, WV, Amanda Moat of Parkersburg, WV and Angie Moat of Marietta, two step children, Layne and Blake Pottmeyer, both of Marietta, nine grandchildren, two brothers, Gregory Dotson (Sherry) of Williamstown and Timothy Dotson (Brenda) of St. Mary's WV, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rev. Virgil Reischman officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg.
