June K. Donnelly Young, 94, of Marietta, died Thursday, December 2, 2010, at Heartland of Marietta. She was born November 27, 1916 in Marietta to James Patrick and Beatrice Katherine Biltz Donnelly. She was a graduate of Marietta High School and was a member of St. Paul's Church. She liked traveling, camping, reading, sewing, cooking, and crocheting. June is survived by her twin daughters, Sandra and Sylvia Young of Marietta, a sister, Virginia Wickens of Wakeman, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews, including Bill Donnelly and his wife, Bonnie, of Marietta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman George "Curly" Young on February 4, 2000, they had been married on May 11, 1937, and by three brothers, James, Charles and Roy Donnelly. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 6, 2010, at St. Paul's Church in Marietta, with the Rev. Tom Hendershot officiating. Friends may call at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Her entombment will be at East Lawn Mausoleum. Donations in her memory may be made to the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, P.O. Box 5, Marietta, OH 45750.
