Karen Sue Bailey

April 30, 1950 — June 6, 2012

Karen was born April 30, 1952, to the late Wesley and Eloise Lancaster in Marietta. She entered her next life, after a long and courageous battle as a result of a brain tumor, on June 6, 2012, in Columbus, Ohio where she resided for 34 years.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel Bailey; two sons, Richard Lancaster (Nita) of Parkersburg, and Jason Lancaster of Arizona; two grandchildren, Reese and Brandi; two brothers, Richard and Michael Lancaster, both of Marietta; three sisters, Jean Butcher and Judy Lancaster both of Zanesville, Ohio, and Jerrie (Morris) Green of Parkersburg. She is also survived by a host of loving step-children, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her home-going celebration service will be at noon, Monday (June 11) at the Cawley and Peoples Funeral Home in Marietta, with burial following at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service
