Karen Ruth Wagner, 77, of Marietta, died Monday, June 20, 2016, at her home. She was born July 5, 1938 in Marietta to Merle Lawrence and Jessie Irene Cronin Heslop. Karen was a 1957 graduate of Lawrence High School. She was a member of Evergreen Bible Church and the Golden Agers. She enjoyed ceramics and knitting. Karen is survived by a son, Kevin William Wagner (wife, Machelle); a daughter, Pamela Kay Wagner (boyfriend, Melvin Parks); two grandchildren, Christopher and David Wagner; two great grandchildren, Grace and Isaiah; sister, Janice Gutberlet, her dog, Spike, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Lee Wagner, a grandson, Matthew Wagner, and a brother, Ralph Heslop. Funeral services will be held at the Evergreen Bible Church, 118 W. 9th St., Williamstown, WV, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2016, with Dr. Steve Thibault officiating. Visitation will be at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will also be visitation at the church for one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park. Donations may be made to the Evergreen Bible Church.
