Karl Eric Frank Preston, 54, of Marietta, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 1, 1954 in Detroit, MI to Robert and Heather Roberts Preston. Karl worked for a Ford factory and did some construction work and helped with disaster relief as well. Karl loved music, was a Redwings and Wolverines fan and will be missed by all of his family and friends. He is survived by three nephews, Jon E. "L. J." Preston, Christian A. Preston, and Devon A. Preston; a niece Jonna M Preston; as well as two great nephews, three great nieces, and one great-great nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother, Heather Roberts Straussburg; sister, Inga Preston Kalusek; brother, Jon C. Preston; and nephew Shane Emerick. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor Rick Headley officiating.
