Kate L. Duvall, 91, of Williamstown, WV died Saturday, September 8, 2012, at her home. She was born August 6, 1921 in Williamstown to Brooks and Laura Surface Norman. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Williamstown and the American Legion Auxiliary in Williamstown. She enjoyed her skills as a seamstress. Kate is survived by her husband, James L. Duvall, they were married on August 25, 1942; a daughter, Rebecca Deem (Michael) of Ripley, WV, sons, Timothy Duvall (Susan) of Williamstown, and Joseph Duvall of Williamstown, three grandchildren, Chad Duvall, Michelle Winnell and Jason Deem, a sister, Willa Norman of Williamstown and three great grandchildren, Thaddeous Duvall, Cayla Smith and Grace Winnell. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Hope Hill, and a brother, Brice Norman. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Dr. Steve Gedon officiating. Friends may call at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and up until time of services on Wednesday. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown. Donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 304 W. 5th. St., Williamstown, WV 26187.
