Kathryn Agnes Voshel, 80, of Lowell, died Saturday morning, June 13, 2015, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Born December 14, 1934 in Marietta, she was a daughter of the late John and Helen Erb Sparks.
She had been a nurse's aide for many years. Kathryn loved playing bingo, and time spent with her family. She also loved watching football - especially The Ohio State Buckeyes.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Voshel, whom she married March 25, 2000, and by three daughters, Sharon Farmer, of Culpepper, VA, Cheryl Compton, of Bealeton, VA, and Charlene Farmer, of Houston, TX; two sons, James Farmer (Diane), of Aberdeen, MD, and Dennis Farmer, of Richmond, VA; a step-daughter, Debbie Augenstein (Roger), of Lowell; two step-sons, Jeff Voshel (June), of Marietta and Dan Voshel (Connie), of Lowell; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; two sisters, Sandra Kendall (Ron) and Janet Neville Weppler, all of Marietta; one brother, Marion Neville, of Marietta, and a sister-in-law, Wanda Sparks, of Frazeysburg.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Farmer, and by a son, Christian Farmer, a daughter, Sherry Farmer, a sister, Arlene Sparks, and two brothers, Roy Gene Sparks and Larry Neville.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor Don Hart officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Her family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Monday and from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
