Kevin Duane Malcomb, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on June 21, 1961, in Madison, West Virginia to Olin Gerald Malcomb and Letha Areta Malcomb, Kevin was a cherished resident of Marietta, Ohio, where he lived a life full of love and service to his family and community.
Kevin spent nearly 30 years as an administrator in the Memorial Health System, where his leadership and compassion touched countless lives. He was a proud alumnus of Scott High School in Madison, WV, West Virginia Tech, and Xavier University, where he earned his master's degree.
Kevin's life was marked by his commitment to service and community. He was an active member of the Broughton Foundation, the Rotary Club of Marietta, and the Hunger Committee. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passions for hiking, running, fly-fishing, camping, and biking. He was an avid lover of music and was a true West Virginia University sports enthusiast. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he served on the Board of Directors for the New Wineskins Church. Kevin's dedication to his faith led him to complete training as a lay pastor. His legacy of love, service, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Kevin is survived by his devoted wife, Heather Ann Malcomb, of Marietta, OH, whom he married on June 13, 2020. He leaves behind a loving family, including his two sons, Nathan Malcomb and Jacob Malcomb (Lyndsay), his stepson, Steven Weber, and his treasured grandchildren, Miles and Teddy Malcomb. Kevin is also survived by his brother, Delmas Malcomb (Dianne), his sister, Teresa Bohack (Bob), and his twin sister, Kim Pearcy (Dave). His faithful dog, Curby, will miss him dearly and their three daily walks. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Leigh Bohack, Karen Dunn, Lauren, James, and Megan Pearcy, Micah and Andrew Lattanner, and Leah Caillier.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved dog, Walter.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the MARIETTA CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOMES in Marietta, Ohio, on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 4:00 pm with Rev. Joe Webb officiating. Visitation will take place from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm prior to the service.
