Kyle Shawn Ellis, 26, of Belpre, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born June 28, 1986 in Marietta to Timothy Joe Ellis and Kimberly Sue Goodwin McDermott. Kyle was a 2004 graduate of Warren High School and graduated from Washington State Community College in 2008, with a degree in Criminal Justice. He was currently employed by Securitas, working security at Solvay. He was a member of the FFA Alumni Association and of the Farm Bureau. His hobbies were building toy tractors, as well as enjoying hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Atlanta Falcons. Kyle is survived by his wife, Megan Nichole Davis Ellis, they were married on June 20, 2009, also survived by his son, Karter Shawn Ellis, parents, Kim McDermott (Dan) of Cutler and Tim Ellis (Marcy) of Barlow, two brothers, Scott and Mark McDermott of Cutler, two step brothers, Bryan Ring of Belgium and Kevin Ring of Barlow, brother in law, Braden Crumbley of Grand Junction, CO, maternal grandmother, Jessie Goodwin of Marietta, paternal grandparents, Terry and Rosa Marie Ellis of Watertown, inlaws, Frank and Kim Crumbley of Houston, TX, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Larry Goodwin. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor Dave Ellenwood officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and on Wednesday up until time of the service. His burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park in Marietta.
