Larry Wayne Cox

Larry Wayne Cox, 67, of Waterford, died Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at his home. He was born February 6, 1946 in Parkersburg, WV to Carel "Jack" and Faye Eaton Cox. He was a 1964 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during Vietnam Era in Germany. Larry had worked at G.E. Plastics for over 34 years, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed working with stained glass and with wood and was an avid reader. Larry is survived by his wife, Peggy Ryan Cox, they were married April 10, 1992, by two children, Stephanie Roberts (Brian) of Bartlett and Rodney Cox of Indianapolis, IN., a stepson, Mark Goudy of Vienna, WV a grandson, Dwayne Singer, two brothers, Roger Cox (Jackie) of Charleston, WV and Randy Cox (Alma) of Parkersburg, two sisters, Judy Hayes of Parkersburg and Linda Bennett (Mike) of Eleanor, WV, a brother in law, Bill Packard of Lubeck, WV and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Janet Packard, and his brother in law, Earl Hayes. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday October 28, 2013, at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor Lou Whitney officiating. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Barlow Central Cemetery, with full military rites. Donations may be made to the Barlow VFD, P.O. Box 121, Barlow, OH 45712.
