Leslie M. Caffey, 88, died Thursday, November 29, 2012 in Marietta, OH. She was born September 17, 1924 in Willowbrook, CA to William Jay Croose and Vera Johnson Parry. She moved to San Dimas, CA with her parents in 1939 and spent her life there. In 1943, she married Wilbur "Gene" Caffey, they celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on November 27. She was a homemaker and artist. Leslie is survived by her husband, three sons, Jay and wife, Carol, of Windsor, CO, Burt and wife, Denise, of Hermiston, OR and Allen and wife, Mary Beth, of Lowell, OH. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Raymond, Craig, Ashley, Jana and Misty Caffey, Jennifer Price and Chris Harris, seven great grandchildren, Joshua, Calev, Alexandria, Andrea, Kyle, Cadence and Camden. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and husband, Mary and Robert Short. Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rev. Timothy Shannon officiating. Donations may be made to a charity of donor's choice. A memorial service take place in California at a later date. Her ashes will be buried in Oakdale Memorial Garden in Glendora, CA.
