Linda Mae Robinson, 61, of Vincent, died Friday evening, June 12, 2015. Born June 28, 1953 in Parkersburg, WV, she was a daughter of Mildred Hayes Maxson and the late Thomas Maxson.
Linda had served as Mayor of Fort Polk, LA for two years. She had been involved with the Belpre Peewee Football League, serving as assistant commissioner for three years and then as commissioner for two years. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. Linda also ran the Haunted House at the Belpre Volunteer Fire Department for many years.
She was married June 26, 1987 to William Robinson, who survives along with her mother, Mildred Maxson McDonald (Fred), of Torch; a daughter, Carrie Lynn Warren (Matthew), of Nelsonville; a son, Kevin Kesterson (Carrie Ann), of Shade; five grandchildren, Bryce, Kyle and Andrew Kesterson, and MacKenzie and Madison Warren. Also surviving are two sisters and two brothers, Betty Jean Bryant (David), of Dennison, Becky Jo Holland, of Belpre, William Maxson, of Coolville and Fred Maxson (Daphne Lynn), of Torch.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, where Linda's family will greet friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
