Lois June Willison Bickert, 90, of Marietta, died at The Woman's Home on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. She was born June 15, 1923 to Walker W. and Ora Malone Willison. She had lived in Marietta most of her life, except for a brief time spent in Pomeroy and Middleport. She was a graduate of Marietta High School, Class of 1941. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She had worked at Elberfields on Putnam St., then, Remington Rand, and later at Irene's Fashions. She enjoyed going to the YMCA for water exercise, loved to crochet, do craftwork, work puzzles, play Skip Bo and watch birds at her bird feeder. On April 28, 1943, she married Herman Bickert, they were married 60 years when he passed away in 2003. Lois is survived by her two children, Teresa "Terry" Deem and husband, Joe, and Randy Bickert and wife, Sandy, all of Marietta, son in law, Joe Andris, brother in law, Glenn Bickert, nephew, David Willison, three grandchildren, Julie Deem Fairweather, Brian Deem, Jessica Bickert and great grandchild, Madison Fairweather. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl "Sherry" Andris, brother, Harold Willison and his wife, Marjorie, a sister, Jeannie Mosser and her husband, Eddie, grandson, Joey Deem, and sister in law, Olga Bickert. Lois was the last of her immediate family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Her burial will be in Valley Cemetery.
