Lola Louise Jackson, 88, of Marietta, died Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born August 7, 1926 in Marietta to Harold and Bernice Curtis Shafer. She was a graduate of Stafford High School. Lola had retired as a cook, from Skyvue High School in 1986. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marietta. Lola is survived by her two sons, Donald D. Mallett (Suzan) of Fleming and J. Douglas Mallett (Becky) of Marietta; four grandchildren, Eric Mallett (Sarah), Jana Miller (Ryan), Matt Mallett (Emmy) and Mark Mallett; six great grandchildren, Zach and Kelsey Mallett, Lucas, Grace and Kylie Miller and Halle Mallett, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Todd Mallett, sister, June Hines, brother, James Shafer, and an infant sister. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015, at Stafford Cemetery, with the Rev. Chad Mugrage officiating.
