Louise McGee Parsons, 56, of 5 Silos, Williamstown, WV, died Thursday, February 12, 2009, in Orlando, FL. She was born February 20, 1952 in Ft. Myers, FL to William and Alta Hess McGee. She had worked as a secretary for the American Cancer Society in Parkersburg and at Marietta Memorial Hospital for about ten years. Louise also had been a volunteer hospice caregiver. She had attended various churches since moving to the area, including First United Methodist Church in Williamstown. She was a member of the Marietta Clown Club and an avid collector of Coca Cola memorabilia. Louise enjoyed her family, traveling, working in her yard, fishing and hunting. She is survived by her husband, Neil Parsons. They were married on June 8, 1996; three daughters, Lori Paul (Robert) and Heather Folds (Pete), both of the Dothan, AL area, and Khara Parsons of Williamstown, two sons, Ryan Parsons of Pittsburgh, PA and Josh Parsons (Kristin) of Charleston, WV, nine grandchildren and a great grandson, her step mother, Aimee McGee of Tampa, FL, and a special friend since childhood, Suzanne Moore (Larry) of Sanford, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, a younger sister, Ann, and two brothers, William and Robert Legg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church in Williamstown, with Dr. Steve Gedon officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and for one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
