Lucille Marie Ball

Lucille Marie Ball, 98, of Lowell, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Heartland of Marietta. She was born May 14, 1917 in Gilmer County, WV to Evan and Bina Brannon Alltop. She was a member of the Lowell United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, and the L-A Fire & Rescue Auxiliary. Lucille is survived by her three children, Charles "Bob" Ball (Nancy) of Buckeye Lake, OH, Glenna Ball of Lowell and Marlene Clark (Jim) of Greenwood, IN; five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Pete" Ball, on April 19, 1978, four brothers, Hale Miller, John, Bailey and Johnson Alltop and a sister, Allie Trunic. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor Pamela Lashley officiating. The family will greet friends for two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Lowell. Donations may be made to the Lowell UMC, P.O. Box 332 or L-A Fire & Rescue, P.O.
