Ludivina Lang, 68, of Marietta, died July 9, 2017 at her home. Born December 31, 1948 in Jalapa, Veracruz, Mexico, she was a daughter of the late Carlos and Mercedes Huerta Medina.
She had worked in sales for 16 years at Elder Beerman Department Store, retiring in 2004. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Catholic Women's Club. Ludivina loved to shop for her kids and grandkids, and was very accomplished at it. She also loved and lived to dance.
She was married to James Lang on September 10, 1977, who survives with one daughter Xanath Van Frayen (Peter) and their children Brody and Gabriella, of Lewis Center; one son Nathan Lang (Linda) and their sons Declan and Beckett, of Columbus, IN; four sisters, Nelida Navarro (Joel), Julia Campos, Jovita Barber (James), all of Jalapa, Veracruz, Mexico, and Matilda Barber (Gary) of Pearland, TX; two brothers, Carlos Medina (Angela) and Rafael Medina (Socorro), all of Jalapa, Veracruz, Mexico; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew.
Funeral Liturgy, with Mass will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at The Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, with the Rev. Monsignor John Michael Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where a Vigil Service will be held at 3:30 pm.
